Glen Moore
1917 ~ 2012

Our loving father, brother, and friend, Glen Moore, 95, of Provo, passed away Monday, December 17, 2012, in Orem, Utah, from natural causes. He will be deeply missed by all that knew and loved him, as he touched many lives. He was born in Spanish Fork, Utah, to John Leo and Jessie Geneva Markham Moore, February 8, 1917.

Glen received his Doctorate of Botany and was employed as a professor at the Church College of Hawaii, then transferred to the Botany Department at BYU until retirement. His interests became cacti plants and desert flora. Glen served his country in WWII in the Navy.

Glen is survived by his two sons Robert Keola Moore, Eden Prairie, Minnesota and Kevin Brent (Gayla) Moore, Provo, Utah and his three daughters Patricia Lee (Ron) Allen, Orem, Utah, Bonnie Jean Swartzwelder Howell, Moab, Utah and Lori-Lyn Moore Cruz, Pleasant Grove, Utah. Also survived by 12 grandchildren and many great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by Blanche Duke Anderson Moore, (his wife), his son Glen A Moore, daughter Shirley Ann Conway and his parents and grandparents.

Memorial services for Glen will be held Saturday, December 22, 2012, at 2:00 p.m. at the Walker Sanderson Tribute Center, 85 East 300 South, Provo, Utah.
