Lina Deininger Harrer
1916 ~ 2013

Lina Deininger Harrer, 96, died Wednesday, January 16, 2013, in Salt Lake City, Utah. She was born July 30, 1916, in Mannheim, Germany, to Albert H. and Lina Gehrig Deininger. Lina married Ludwig Harrer in 1934. Ludwig died February 1942.

In 1956 Lina and her son Holger moved to Provo, Utah. She loved spending time with her family, baking, listening to classical music and doing German crossword puzzles. Lina was an active member in The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints.

She is survived by two children Frank Harrer and Ingrid (James) Frankowski, grandchildren, Brian (Susan) Frankowski, Thomas (Lisa) Frankowski, Christian (Kimberli) Frankowski, Benjamin Harrer, Jacob (Monica) Harrer, Noah Harrer, Holger (Jamie) Harrer, Meg Brooks and 8 grandchildren, 19 great-grandchildren and 5 great-great-grandchildren. Also by her sister Elfriede Prison. Lina was preceded in death by her two sons Dieter and Holger Harrer, granddaughter Christine Frankowski and five sisters.

Funeral services will be held Saturday, January 19, 2013, at 11 a.m. at the Walker Sanderson Tribute Center, 85 East 300 South, Provo, Utah. Family and friends may call from 9:45-10:45 a.m. prior to the services at the Tribute Center. Burial will be at the East Lawn Memorial Hills Cemetery in Provo.
